Non Destructive Testing

Non Destructive Testing (CND or NDT) is a wide group of analysis techniques (tests) used to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.

Non-destructive techniques are one of the main investigations/tests to verify the status of the welds and for qualifying welding procedures and welders. Main Application:

  • Weld Verification
  • Structural Mechanics

The Group brand NDT SERVICES operates with qualified and certified personnel  1st and 2nd Level according to ISO 9712 and SNT TC1A and qualified personnel in welding IWE and IWT.

NDT SERVICES carried out the characterization of sample blocks for the calibration of the instruments used in the process control (eg sample blocks for ultrasonic testing).

The Main Non Destructive Tests Are:
  • Visual Test (VT)
  • Dye Penetrant Inspections or Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT or LPI)
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • X-Ray Test
  • Thickness Measurement
  • Metallographic Replicas
  • Hardness Tests
  • Training Activities Introductory to Certification of NDT Operators According to SNT TC 1A and/or ISO 9712
Training & Certification

All training provided is preliminary for the certification exam of 1st and 2nd Level for operators working in the field of Non Destructive Testing.

  • Theoretical and practical training in preparation for the certification exam to ISO 9712 for the qualification of staff dedicated to Non Destructive Testing:
    • Visual Method (VT)
    • Dye Penetrant Inspections (PT)
    • Magnetic Particle Test (MT)
    • Ultrasonic Test (UT)
    • Radiographic Test (RT)
Inspection & NDT

Performs non-destructive control activities and inspections on the field to monitor the contracts with control plans in the short/medium/long term: monitoring of the welds and of the staff engaged in their execution, monitoring of the work progress, monitoring of the tests and personnel for their execution.
